Fire hoses are a common sight in our lives, present in all office buildings and homes as essential firefighting equipment. However, fire hoses have a lifespan of approximately 7-10 years. After retirement, due to their primary rubber material, they are non-recyclable and non-biodegradable, leading to disposal as bulk waste. Yet, rubber is inherently a durable and non-slip material. This is where Entadar's "Ocean Drift Project" brand, while researching functional materials that are water-repellent and wearable, discovered that fire hoses align with the international trend of upcycling. This proposal aims to utilize retired fire hoses as a material to develop new upcycled products. In response to environmental consciousness, Entadar has dedicated significant time to research and material sourcing, ultimately finding retired fire hoses. This aligns with the brand's core concept of waterproof materials. Fire hoses, made of rubber, are durable and non-degradable, retiring after reaching their service limit. The rubber material itself offers an additional non-slip function, which we have incorporated into the base of the toiletry bag to enhance its utility.
