Staff 《Friedman》
A slender, elegantly green staff, a steadfast companion for life's meaningful journeys.
This staff is named after Friedman, the Nobel laureate in Economics in 1976.
Friedman once offered a forward-thinking perspective on equality and freedom, suggesting that
prioritizing rigid equality over freedom often leads to a situation where neither equality nor freedom is achieved.
Societies that place freedom above equality, while perhaps not attaining ultimate equality,
often see progress that brings them closer to equality (or higher overall welfare) than previous systems.
Friedman argued that pursuing the outcome of prioritizing equality to its extreme would necessitate granting some individuals the right to take from others' pockets. This often results in
Party A and Party B deciding what Party C should do for Party D, with A and B typically taking a commission in the process.
(Not to mention other operational losses.)
This staff is not intended for supporting body weight.
It possesses the unique fragrance and organic form of Green Sandalwood.
Multiple photographs are available for reference.
The initial listing price will be relatively lower, with adjustments made based on market conditions.
Total length: 134 cm; width: approx. 14.2 cm.
Green Sandalwood is one of the world's heaviest woods, renowned for its abundant oil content.
It transforms from yellow to green when exposed to sunlight, emitting a fragrance, and is also known as Jade Sandalwood.
It thrives in environments with drastic climate changes, enduring temperatures from below zero to 40 degrees Celsius depending on the season.
Currently, it is a scarce material facing endangerment, with export restrictions imposed by Paraguay.
When working with Green Sandalwood for swords, it's often necessary to hollow out sections to manage its weight, aiming for better balance. Its hardness also makes processing slower and harder on tools.
If left out of sunlight for extended periods, its color will revert from green to yellow. Exposure to sunlight for about 20 minutes will restore its green hue.
Wood: Green Sandalwood (Jade Sandalwood), with a natural fragrance.
Occasional polishing with fine-grit paper can enhance its sheen.
If left in dark places for too long causing the color to fade, sunlight will bring back the green. However, be mindful not to forget about it and overexpose it.
