Brass Care Instructions: Brass has always been a popular material for jewelry due to its accessible price point and resistance to fading. However, like silver, brass can oxidize, and exposure to rain, sweat, and air can darken its color. While some appreciate this natural patina, if you wish to avoid it, please follow these guidelines: ♦ Avoid contact with water. ♦ Store in a resealable bag when not wearing it. If the luster appears dull, here are a few simple methods to restore your item to its original brilliance. Please note that if the brass is scratched, while the color can be revived, the original shine cannot be fully restored (though the matte, aged bronze look is also beautiful!). ♦ Use a toothbrush with a small amount of foaming toothpaste or tooth powder and gently brush the brass as if brushing your teeth. This can restore shine. Ensure to dry thoroughly afterward. ♦ Wipe with a silver polishing cloth for a quick restoration of shine (not applicable to brushed surfaces). ♦ Squeeze lemon juice, dilute it, and soak the brass accessory for about 5 minutes for a rapid return to shine (not suitable for natural beads sensitive to acid, such as pearls).
