"Maṇi" refers to Bodhicitta, and "Padme" refers to the correct view of emptiness and dependent origination. "Hūṃ" signifies the union of the two, where wisdom upholds skillful means, and skillful means uphold wisdom. In summary, by cultivating Bodhicitta and the view of emptiness, one can ultimately transform an impure body, speech, and mind into the body, speech, and mind of a Buddha.
