tested Zenitar M 1.7/50 USSR fast lens for SLR M42 mount KMZ Zenit

Zenitar-M, Soviet lens for SLR camera 50 mm, 1:1.7, M42 mount, s/n 846_106 Krasnogorsky Mechanical plant (KMZ), USSR Very good condition. Glass is clear and clean, without any fungus or scratches. Inside there are microspecks of dust. Focus and aperture rings rotate properly. There is a small backlash of metal parts. Body has signs of age and use. I took a test photo with this lens set on DSLR Sony A-100 via adapter. Test photo is #3. This is high-aperture standard lens for SLR camera. It was produced with two possible mounts: M42 and Pentax K-mount (then it will have name "MC Zenitar-K"). Lens is default for "Zenit-AP" camera family. It was designed by A.Tokarev and T.Zavorina in 1989. Lens was produced in small number in 1990, then in 1991-94 with a bit changed body. Also existed lenses of "Zenitar" family with focal distance 50mm and aperture f/1.2 (project), f/1.7, f/0.95 (project), f/1.9, f/1.4, f/2. Also in 1973 plant "Arsenal" (Kiev) produced experimental lens "Zenitar-Automat" 1.9/50 for SLR cameras Kiev-10 and Kiev-15. It does not have any relation to KMZ lens.
