Ice Blue Celadon Teabowl

This tea bowl was wheel thrown in my small workshop in Northern Taiwan. I used a Japanese porcelain clay body and then glazed the piece with an original ice blue celadon. The glaze works well with a clean porcelain body. The other interesting feature of the glaze is that crackles, finishing the piece with beautiful lines throughout the piece. The pot feels silky in your hands. I believe the pot looks better in real life. It was difficult to catch this in a photo. I gas fired the tea bowl.
