Crafted from fine-grained white clay that allows the glaze colors to truly shine. This lidded bowl features a subtly cream-colored matte glaze combined with three glazes that evoke the colors of spring. Through the firing process, the glazes melted and flowed, creating a unique pattern. The use of whiter clay enhances the vibrancy of the glazes, resulting in a cheerful and lively piece. The rimmed design makes the bowl easy to grip and handle. It's an ideal size for serving rice, a delightful choice for soups like glass noodle or egg drop soup, and also works beautifully as a salad bowl. All stages of creation—from wedging the clay to shaping, bisquing, glazing, and final firing—are meticulously done by hand in my home studio, equipped with a small electric kiln and a potter's wheel. While mass production is not possible, each piece possesses its own unique character, allowing you to appreciate the subtle nuances of handcrafted work. In some cases, color may seep into crazing, or moisture may appear on the surface. To address this, we apply a food-safe sealant to our tableware before shipping, so there is no need for initial soaking (medome). This sealing process takes 2-3 days, which is why we set the shipping timeframe to 5 days from order placement. If you prefer not to have the sealant applied, please notify us at the time of purchase. ・Cutlery shown in the product images is not included. ・We strive to photograph and edit product images to accurately represent the actual item.
