This pouch is crafted from the popular and iconic "tambourine" fabric by mina perhonen. The base fabric for this tambourine features a blend of linen and pulp. In Japan, cranes have long symbolized longevity, and there's a tradition of folding a thousand paper cranes, tying them together, and wishing for happiness or recovery from illness. These used paper cranes were once incinerated. However, with new recycling technology, we've succeeded in transforming these thousand cranes, which would otherwise be discarded, into thread and fabric. This unique tambourine is made from such an eco-friendly fabric. Colorful specks, derived from the colored paper, are scattered throughout the fabric. The floral fabric for the lining is named "betsy." We've used high-quality cotton fabric from Liberty. This pouch is padded with batting.
