ELUANBI: 3952 Laoshanyan - Named after a famous Taiwanese landmark, this is an elegant, essential writing instrument. Italian briarwood is most commonly used in pipe making. Laoshanyan specifically selects the burl part of the briarwood, which offers a sheen similar to the wood grain trim in luxury cars. However, briarwood naturally has "black spots" that are unavoidable, as it is sourced from the burl. Therefore, each piece will have these to some degree. Burls, when turned, reveal intricate and magnificent patterns. Through numerous layers of paint, sanding, and polishing, the pen achieves a substantial and comfortable feel in hand. Under the high-definition, high-gloss transparent lacquer, the texture is further enhanced. The high-definition, high-gloss finish is easy to maintain and resistant to ink stains or perspiration, making the wood grain appear more three-dimensional. Most briarwood pens on the market are simply turned and polished or waxed. Treatments as labor-intensive as this are exceptionally rare. The pen features an airtight cap with a flame grain engraving, gunmetal grey plating and accessories, and a spring-loaded clip. The cap top is engraved with the 3952 Yushan LOGO. The nib is a German Bock #180 (#5) size, two-tone steel nib, available in EF, F, M, and B tip sizes. If your handwriting is small or compact, an EF (Extra Fine) or F (Fine) tip is recommended.
