ELUANBI: 3952 Lao Shanyang - Named after a renowned Taiwanese landmark, this is an elegant, essential writing instrument. Italian briarwood is most commonly used in pipe making. For this pen, Lao Shanyang specifically chose the burl wood, renowned for a luster akin to the wood grain trim in luxury cars. However, briarwood naturally has some inclusions. As it's sourced from burl wood, each piece will have slight variations. The swirls carved from the burl are intricate and beautiful. Through numerous layers of lacquer, sanding, and polishing, the pen achieves a substantial, tactile feel. Under the high-definition, high-gloss transparent lacquer, the texture is further enhanced. The high-definition, high-gloss finish is easy to maintain, resistant to ink stains or perspiration, and makes the wood grain appear more three-dimensional. Most pens on the market are simply polished or waxed after carving the raw wood; this intricate, multi-step treatment is exceptionally rare. (Briarwood features unique black spots and natural grain patterns; high-quality pieces are shipped randomly.) The pen design includes an airtight cap with flame grain engraving, grey chrome plating and hardware, and a spring-loaded clip. The cap top is engraved with the 3952 Yushan LOGO.
The nib is a German Bock #180 (#5) size, two-tone steel nib, available in EF, F, M, and B tip sizes. If your handwriting is small or compact, we recommend selecting an EF tip (extra fine) or F tip (fine). If you write larger characters or are looking for a comfortable signature pen, consider an M tip (medium) or B tip (broad).
**Gift Set Includes:** German SCHMIDT K2 converter (ink not included) + One hand-stitched black genuine leather pen sleeve made by a Taiwanese artisan (style shipped randomly) + 3952 Lao Shanyang premium pen box packaging.
Pen Dimensions: Total length approximately 145mm; body and grip section approximately 105mm; maximum diameter (excluding clip) approximately 12mm; total weight (excluding nib) approximately 31g.
In line with our commitment to environmental protection, we do not automatically provide paper bags. If you require one for gifting, please specify this in the order notes after purchase. Thank you.
Images are for reference only. The product is a single pen. Some photos may have slight color variations due to lighting and angles; the actual product is the standard.
Note: Regularly wipe and maintain the inside of the pen body and cap. When storing, avoid leaving the nib pointing downwards for extended periods.
Warm Reminder: Avoid pressing down hard on the nib or writing with uneven pressure (e.g., tilting too far left or right). For a right-handed writer, it's recommended to hold the pen so the nib points towards the 10 or 11 o'clock position to prevent the iridium tip from shifting and causing scratching or ink flow issues. Rinse the nib with clean water regularly to prevent ink buildup and blockages that can affect writing quality.
