Along the riverbank, Elegant detached houses stood beside cherry trees in full bloom, Stretching forward with the flow of the river... A woman pushed a stroller, admiring the blossoms; young lovers sat beneath the trees, lost in conversation; an elderly man with a DSLR captured the fleeting beauty of the flowers... I was lost in the simple beauty of it all... "How fortunate it would be to live here" was the deepest wish that welled up from my heart. ----------- The emotion of seeing the cherry blossoms for the first time at Yamazaki River in Nagoya, Japan, in 2009, Has remained vividly in my memory ever since.
