Sunlight, wind, and rain—climatic conditions impart subtle flavor differences to each batch of salt flowers. Every "Seasonal Salt Flower" is a "salt selection" from that year's harvest, representing the unique climate of that particular year. "Seasonal Salt Flower - Grain Rain 0422" The first spring rain fell on April 13, 2025, with nearly 70mm of rainfall accelerating the growth and metabolism of algae in the evaporation ponds. A little over a week later, on April 22 (Earth Day), this batch of salt flowers was harvested. We chose this "Grain Rain 0422" as the 2025 "Seasonal Salt Flower" to share nature's bounty with you. It also serves as a reminder to us, the salt makers, and to consumers, to collectively address the challenges brought about by "climate change."
