Inkamon, with handle and lid

Original vessels created by ceramic artist Morishita Shingo. The lid was created by woodworker Yasushi Shimizu to fit the container. With this combination, a new "lidded container" was created. The body of the vessel was designed with a handle using the ceramic technique Inka. The base is baked brown with a light beige base and a touch of red and blue. The red and blue colours are used as accents, creating a warm atmosphere overall. The lid is made of dark walnut and has grooves carved into it that seem to spiral up to the top, creating a soft form like the foam of beer overflowing from a mug. It is a long, vertical vessel with a handle and a soft, flowing lid. This is a lidded container with an atmosphere that is hard to describe. If moisture is left on the product, it will stain, so please wipe off any moisture as soon as possible. Also, do not use a dish dryer, dry in direct sunlight, or use a microwave, as these may cause cracks or warping.
