As the fabric is woven on shuttle looms over 100 years old in Kurashiki, there are inevitably "weaving flaws" that may initially appear as "frays." While these are unavoidable with the use of old machinery, we make every effort to minimize them through thorough factory inspections and by carefully selecting fabric placement during cutting. If found, they are used in less conspicuous areas. However, due to the nature of the machinery, they cannot be entirely eliminated.
