**"Unlike portrait or landscape photography, street photography doesn't require you to focus on a predetermined subject or visit a specific location. You have the freedom to create on the streets.**
**You can capture moments in neighborhoods and alleyways, and these photographs will reflect people's lives.**
**Street photographers aim to show everyone not just beautiful subjects or vast mountain ranges, but stories that belong uniquely to people."**

__**Savoring photographs, you discover they can tell a complete story.**__
You get excited about photography, buy a camera, and explore streets you've walked a hundred times, eager to capture everything.
But **your hands can't keep up with your eyes.** You see it, but you can't capture it. Amidst the bustling streets, you find yourself unable to seize those story-rich photos.
__**You shouldn't let the beautiful stories around you pass by unnoticed,**__
__**Nor should the passion that led you to buy a camera fade away.**__
Street photography is about capturing the essence of a story in a moment. However, if you merely keep pressing the shutter, accumulating uninspired, story-less photos, your enthusiasm will wane, and you'll eventually feel it doesn't matter if you shoot or not, **ultimately abandoning the pursuit of these beautiful moments.**

Blazing fire cuts through the dark street as an elderly man expertly operates a chainsaw, unfazed by the flying sparks. It's clear he's been doing this for decades, a scene replaying nightly in this alley. Until tonight, when a street photographer encountered this moment... Photo by Vasil
If you've ever photographed on the street, you'll notice that the chaotic colors of reality often make photos appear cluttered. You see what you want to capture, but it doesn't stand out.
Therefore, we begin with the fundamentals of photography: black and white, light and shadow. By viewing the world in monochrome, we can focus more on tonal gradation, line structure, and strong subjects. In the unpredictable urban environment, black and white can simplify things, allowing you to effortlessly take good photos. Amidst constantly changing street scenes, strong contrasts of light and shadow often reveal the soul of a story.

Turning from a main street into a back alley, you suddenly encounter a figure standing under a dim light. A slightly stout, middle-aged man leans against the wall, smoking. The dim green light outlines his seasoned features, as if you can hear a sigh from his silhouette. Photo by Franky

In this session, we'll explore more impactful compositions and the emotions conveyed by various color palettes: the melancholy of cool tones, the nostalgia of warm tones, the mystery of green, the romance of pink... Learning to use color is a skill that elevates your images.

"This is such a charming scene! A child with sparse hair contrasts with a fluffy white puppy, both riding in a small car down the street. Their amusing dynamic, one black and one white, is a moment a street photographer can't resist capturing. After all, who doesn't love joyful and whimsical scenes these days?" Photo by Franky
The purpose of street photography is to capture stories happening on the street. Events appear and disappear in an instant; you must be the silent observer, pressing the shutter at the critical moment. Precisely capturing moments within the dynamic flow of the street is a crucial aspect of street photography.
Beyond warm, humanistic themes, street photography masters also favor the absurd and humorous perspective. In this session, the instructor will teach you how to use unique angles to make your images intriguing, even laugh-out-loud funny!

Stories are happening on the street all the time, even those you've previously overlooked. The elderly mechanic squats by the car engine, the oil stains in the shop a testament to his experience – the dirtier the hands, the more skilled. Through your photos, you can permanently preserve a story that only you have seen. Photo by Layla
Returning to your original intention, you want to capture a variety of stories from the street, right?
After thoroughly understanding and practicing various street photography fundamentals, you can apply all the skills learned to reinterpret street photography in a way that truly resonates with you: giving new life to the streets that many pass by without a second glance, yet are brimming with stories.
