One day, a friend asked: "What's your handmade book's style?" I replied: "Each one is different!" But we only combine it with leather. The more raw, natural, and eco-friendly the leather, the more we like it. We don't over-process it, designing organically and freely based on the unique edges of each piece. So, I don't have a specific style... In that moment, "no specific style," those words, The phrase "No Style" popped into my mind, and thus became our brand name. The English "Free & Non" also stems from our free-spirited, creative approach. ◆ Design Philosophy ◆ We love the raw, rugged aesthetic with minimal processing. Therefore, we preserve the original state of each leather piece, cherishing and respecting the unique texture of every cowhide's surface. The marks left by bumps, injuries, or bites during the cow's growth are unavoidable. We see these as features, much like how we all have different life journeys. We retain the complete, raw, rugged edges of the leather, using leftover scraps to hand-stitch each unique handmade book, sharing it with you who also love to record life's little moments. This is the natural variation that Free & Non embraces. ◎ Scars and shedding on the fibrous inner surface of genuine leather are natural phenomena and are not further processed. ◎ There may be slight discoloration on the first and last pages due to contact with the leather, which is normal. ◎ The products are entirely hand-stitched, and the paper is cut individually with a craft knife.
