They refer to themselves as a "stamp carving professional" and reside in Taiwan, diligently creating and making stamps in a vintage apartment in Taipei. Previously, they worked as an editor for publishing houses, magazines, and books, and now focuses full-time on stamp design. Every season, they release handmade original art stamps, with their collected works published in volumes 1-8, featuring over 100 unique stamps. Their published books include: "A Handmade Life in 12 Hours a Week," "Rubber Stamps, Open the Door!", and "12 Lessons for Beginner Rubber Stamp Carving: Next Stamp Class." Primarily using erasers as their carving material, each stamp is slowly and carefully crafted stroke by stroke. Chamilgarden's stamp designs often incorporate observations from daily life, landscapes and encounters from travels, and elements that hold deep personal affection (such as text / flowers and plants / geometry / nature / architecture...). These elements are then deconstructed and reassembled, with multi-layered intersections of lines and planes, complemented by minimalist primary and secondary lines, foreign text, and commonly noted component symbols to form the stamp imagery. They enjoy pairing stamps with colors, orchestrating the unique presence, collaboration, and repetition between stamps of various sizes. Many graphic designs are also derived from snippets of stamps, with designs extending through combinations of stamping, such as postcards and washi tape.
