Kikkerland found the badass mechanical beagle Spinney

Chico Bicalho's metal wind-up toys for Kikkerland are known for their humorous and direct designs. Initially, he made each critter by hand and sold them to the Guggenheim Museum Store and other shops while pursuing photography in New York City. Bicalho credits these intervening years as a construction worker with developing his many skills in “putting things together.” These skills come in handy as he expands his collection of wind-up toys. Now living in his hometown of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Bicalho continues to design toys while pursuing his passion: reforestation projects in the Brazilian rainforest.
