This is an older stock item, featuring a very slight hairline mark on one earring and a tiny drop of blue enamel. * 5.5 x 0.7 cm. * Acquired in Brisbane, Australia. *About Trifari: The brand's founder, Gustavo Trifari, was an Italian immigrant whose creations are highly collectible. The brand began in 1910, and Trifari used different markings throughout its various periods. Between the 1930s and 1960s, Trifari employed a renowned jewelry designer, Alfred Philippe, who had previously worked for Van Cleef & Arpels and Cartier. His addition to the Trifari team elevated the brand's product line to a high-quality, elegant standard. Trifari was a leading brand in the costume jewelry world of its time, favored by celebrities. For instance: In 1953, Trifari created jewelry for Mamie Eisenhower, the First Lady of the United States, for her appearances at important events. In 1951, Madonna wore Trifari jewelry in her 1990 film *Evita* (Don't Cry For Me Argentina). Furthermore, the brand employed different marking methods across its periods. One of my favorite periods, for example, features a Trifari mark with a crown above the letter T.
