"Tenon" refers to a mortise, and Tenonart, as the name suggests, is art created using mortise and tenon joinery. Throughout their creative process, the team never relied on animal images or models for reference. Instead, they meticulously crafted each piece based on their imagination of the protagonist's posture and expression, constantly refining their work. The designers' commitment to quality is exceptionally high. They even developed a custom paperboard specifically for Tenonart after an extensive search for a satisfactory material. This unique paperboard meets their stringent requirements for laser engraving precision and rigidity. These inanimate paperboards, imbued with accumulated emotion, precise cutting, and careful assembly, transform from two-dimensional forms into three-dimensional sculptures. What's truly astonishing is how they seem to magically gain a soul, capturing fleeting moments and expressions from their stories. As you admire their gazes and gestures, you'll forget they were ever just cold sheets of paper. In 2009, Tenonart's debut piece, Adonis, was part of a collaborative project with the bounce team, featuring AMIT (A-mei Chang) x bounce x Tenonart. It graced the back cover and interior photos of the album "Amit" and even made an appearance in the music video for "Dare to Come," showcasing a 1:1 scale Adonis adorned with AMIT's iconic fiery red antlers, leaving a lasting impression.
