This is the first time I've heard of it. This piece is inspired by Turkish flower lover paintings. In the past I had been given a small flower lover painting from Turkey and had it on display, and when it caught my eye I decided to try to use it in Kiriko. I get inspiration from paintings, but in order to translate them into Kiriko designs I don't keep the original form, so it feels like the design is almost entirely my own creation. The line down the middle represents the center of the flower lover, which is the bud. The petals surround it. The petals are finished with a matte finish to give them a frosted glass look. The flower lover are cut roughly and deeply, which is done to give them a pleasant feel. You will be able to feel the sharp edges and comfortable texture that only Kiriko can provide. The bottom part has large leaves spreading out. The large leaves are directly connected to the cut at the bottom, creating a sense of unity when viewed from above. The space between the flower lover represents the fruit. The edges are carved to create a grain-like appearance, and the inside is cut with a traditional chrysanthemum pattern. This is the most difficult cut among all the traditional patterns. The chrysanthemum motif represents health, freedom from illness, and nobility. We also roughly scraped the sides of the part near the bottom flat in three places. We carve them using custom-made equipment in our workshop. The sole is carved so thoroughly that it changes its shape, giving it an originality that cannot be produced in other workshops. Overall it's a very original design. The mouth of the bottle is semicircular and sloped towards the drinking mouth to make it comfortable to drink. We tried about 10 different patterns and found that rubbing in a semicircular shape felt the best in the mouth, which is what we use.
