After using the silver polishing cloth, it is advisable to wash your hands thoroughly to avoid accidental ingestion of the cloth's treatment solution. 5. When visiting areas with sulfur springs, it is recommended to store your jewelry in a sealed bag to prevent contact with airborne sulfur and subsequent tarnishing. Post-Plating Care 1. For plated jewelry, simply rinse with clean water and dry with a soft lens cloth. 2. For plated or oxidized (darkened) jewelry, avoid using silver polishing cloths or silver cleaning solutions, as this can affect the integrity of the plating, potentially causing it to peel or detach. 3. To prolong the life of plated silver jewelry, minimize contact with chemical agents such as volatile perfumes, essential oils, or alcohol-based solutions. 4. The plating layer is a very thin coating.
