→ About the Artist In a twist of fate, Ms. Shu-Fen Shih relocated to Jingdezhen, the renowned "Porcelain Capital." Amidst this city steeped in ceramics, her interest in this ancient beauty gradually blossomed. Especially after connecting with some local masters, she decided to meld the beauty she held in her heart with Jingdezhen's exquisite craftsmanship. She might hesitate to be called a "master" herself, perhaps feeling that the world of ceramics is vast and she is still in a learning phase. Yet, with each accumulated lesson, with every process of kneading the clay, shaping it into coils, and centering it on the wheel, she feels an abundance of insights she wishes to share. We at NATURE GLAZE Studio aspire to be a platform, offering Ms. Shih's creations an opportunity to be seen. Our hope is that everyone who receives a piece can experience the artist's evolving state of mind, step by step, through her work.
