The "Switzerland of Central Asia", the Kyrgyz Republic, commonly known as Kyrgyzstan, is located in the majestic Central Asia, surrounded by the Tianshan Mountains and the Pamir Mountains. It is known as one of the "world's furthest countries from the ocean." It is an ideal destination for history buffs, explorers and travelers.
The capital, Bishkek, is the largest city in the country, and the Kyrgyz are the main ethnic group, accounting for the majority of the total population, with a small number of Uzbeks and Russians.
Kyrgyzstan has a rich and colorful history that spans two millennia and bears traces of diverse cultures and different empires. Although geographically surrounded by high mountains, it has long been a crossroads for commercial routes such as the Silk Road. From Turkic nomads to the Mongol Empire to the Soviet Union, Kyrgyzstan has been ruled through many times. After the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, Kyrgyzstan established a democratic government, but it was still influenced by the Soviet period. Many Soviet-era buildings, monuments and cultural symbols still exist today, testifying to its history. Even though the Soviet Union has collapsed, its influence remains far-reaching, and the Soviet-era lifestyle is still reflected in contemporary Kyrgyz society.

Shamusa is a traditional delicacy in Central Asia and can be found in Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Sak, Kyrgyzstan and other places. Its name comes from Middle Persian and means "triangular dough". It is speculated that it may have first appeared in Central Asia around the 10th century. There are different versions of shamusa in various places, and Kyrgyzstan is usually made in a baked way with various fillings.
