By lightly stropping the blade's edge against the leather strop a few times, its sharpness is revived. While it's difficult to hone the entire blade, this is a compact tool specifically designed for maintaining the edge. ・Unnecessary features removed for a compact size With a width of 3cm and a length of 7cm, its small size ensures high portability, fitting neatly into pockets. It also comes with a leather cord, allowing it to be attached to the outside of a backpack. This is also recommended for minimalists and solo campers who prefer to carry as little as possible. ・Comes with a custom-designed sleeve Since polishing compound is applied to the surface of the leather strop, storing it directly with other gear could potentially soil your other tools. Therefore, we've included a custom-designed sleeve that fits snugly onto the strop. Take it out when you need it, and return it to the sleeve when you're done. You can use it with peace of mind, knowing your favorite tools won't get dirty. ・Crafted from carefully tanned Italian leather (Margot). The surface has been finely sanded (scratch-processed), giving it a smooth texture. With use, it will gradually develop a glossy, slick finish, and its color will deepen, characteristic of this leather and a point of enjoyment as it ages. ・How to Use *Because the leather strop is very small, do not use it in the air. Always place it on a flat surface, such as a table. For safety, please wear gloves on the hand holding the strop for protection. The leather strop has different textures on each side. 1. Apply your preferred polishing compound to the rough side (flesh side). (*If solid polishing compound is difficult to apply, adding a few drops of oil and mixing will help it spread smoothly.) 2. With the blade edge facing away from you (towards the back), gently pull the knife towards you about 20 to 30 times. 3. Then, flip the knife over and repeat the process on the smooth side (grain side) for another 20 to 30 times to complete. *The number of strokes above is a guideline.
