[ Design Concept ]
The term "Hobo" refers to itinerant American workers of the late 19th century who traveled and worked along railway lines. The cloth bags they used to carry their personal belongings and provisions, when tied and slung over a stick, had a visual resemblance to dumplings or a crescent moon. Bags of this shape later became collectively known as "hobo bags" due to their adoption by the fashion industry.
HEYOU's hobo bag captures the crescent moon silhouette while prioritizing the functionality of a crossbody bag for practical daily use. It is also suitable for riders as a saddlebag.

Boro Patch Indigo
The term "Boro" originates from Japan, meaning "ragged" or "tattered." It refers to clothing that is worn and repaired through repeated mending, patching, and piecing together to extend its lifespan. In earlier times, working-class individuals maximized the utility of their garments through daily wear and tear. It is in this spirit that fashion, in today's world where clothing often transcends mere utility, redefines Boro with a fresh perspective, allowing a niche of past culture to shine anew. This particular style is crafted from scrap fabric dyed with natural plant-based colors and hand-stitched together, making each piece a unique creation. Those who appreciate the aesthetic of Boro are encouraged to explore this offering.
Regarding the bag's functionality:
Dual-zipper closure for easy access.
Two practical side loops for attaching keys or other personal items.
Front exterior pocket and interior pocket for added storage.
Adjustable quick-release shoulder strap—when used as a chest bag by riders, the strap can be shortened, and the quick-release buckle eliminates the inconvenience of crossing the strap over the shoulder.
Capacity to hold multiple 18mo books.

{ HEYOU Handmade Vegetable-tanned Leather Introduction }
The process of transforming animal hide into usable "leather" through a series of treatments is known as "tanning." From a leathercraft perspective, humans have employed various techniques for working with leather since ancient times. As leather is largely a byproduct of meat consumption, it has been an almost inevitable material encountered and utilized in daily life. Its exceptional practicality and durability have made leather indispensable throughout human civilization.
HEYOU Studio primarily uses "vegetable-tanned leather." As the name suggests, vegetable tanning utilizes tanning agents extracted from plant sources (such as roots, stems, and leaves). After the raw animal hide is de-haired and processed, it is immersed in the tanning solution to become leather. This traditional tanning method results in a finished product that is solid, robust, possesses a natural aroma, and is carveable when dry. It also becomes pliable when wet, allowing for shaping. The versatility of vegetable-tanned leather ensures its continued widespread use, and its practicality and durability are unquestionable in everyday applications.
Vegetable-tanned leather also features the following characteristics:
l Develops Character Over Time: As leather ages, its color typically becomes richer and more lustrous. This imbues each vegetable-tanned leather product with the user's daily experiences, making it unique with each passing day. We can more easily imbue each leather item with meaning and value.
l Easy Maintenance, Longer Lifespan: Vegetable-tanned leather is typically top-grain leather, and its surface is usually not excessively processed, preserving a more natural and pure appearance of the material, with visible pores. This characteristic makes maintenance and cleaning more effective, thereby extending the leather's lifespan.
l Non-Toxic and Eco-Friendly: Leather is tanned using natural tannins from plants, making it harmless to the human body and safe for direct skin contact. The eco-friendly nature of vegetable-tanned leather lies in its low discard rate due to its durability. Reducing waste and cherishing resources are important concepts for environmental friendliness.
