Our pearls, depending on the variety, come from two major production areas, Japan and China, and are all processed and manufactured in professional jewelry workshops in China, ensuring stable quality and exquisite craftsmanship, perfectly showcasing the natural luster and charm of the pearls.
🔹 Japanese Origin | Akoya Cultured Pearls, True Tahitian Pearls
Akoya pearls are the most representative type of saltwater cultured pearls, translated as "Agoya" in Chinese. They are mainly cultured in areas such as Mie, Kumamoto, and Ehime in Japan, with the Seto Inland Sea coast being particularly famous. Akoya pearls are produced by the **Pinctada fucata** oyster. As the oyster body is relatively small, each shell can only produce one pearl, and it requires about 3 years of meticulous cultivation, resulting in relatively scarce production, with quality and prices being high.
Akoya pearls are nucleated pearls with extremely high roundness. Their luster is cool, dazzling, and bright, earning them the nickname "little light bulbs" in the pearl world and are highly favored by the high-end jewelry industry. The surface often exhibits a natural "orange peel" texture. If a special grade is chosen (e.g., with a Japanese certificate), it will be nearly flawless with a more translucent luster. Colors include cherry blossom pink, snow white, blue-pink, cool blue, aurora gold, queen color, and more. There is also the rare True Tahitian color, a variant of Akoya with a natural pink-purple sheen, highly sought after by collectors.
🔹 Chinese Origin | Freshwater Cultured Pearls
China is the world's largest producer of freshwater pearls, with production concentrated in Zhejiang, Hunan, Jiangsu, and Anhui. Freshwater pearls are mainly cultured from large mussels like the Hyriopsis cumingii. A single mussel can produce dozens of pearls simultaneously, resulting in a much higher yield than saltwater pearls. In the past decade, with significant upgrades in cultivation technology and selection standards, high-quality freshwater pearls have achieved roundness, nacre density, and luster comparable to Akoya.
Although they are non-nucleated, top-grade freshwater pearls can achieve near-perfect roundness, possess a warm and translucent luster, exhibit strong orient, and are more affordable. They are a highly cost-effective choice for everyday wear and designer jewelry.
Regardless of whether you choose Akoya saltwater pearls or Chinese freshwater pearls, all products are manufactured in our Chinese processing workshop, ensuring that every piece meets jewelry-grade standards from raw materials to craftsmanship, adding elegant quality to your daily life.

Bracelet Length Recommendation:
Measure your wrist circumference and add 0.5-1 cm for the recommended wearing length.
If you prefer a snug fit, choose 0.5 cm larger; if you prefer a bit of room, add 1 cm.
You may be familiar with Akoya pearls from Japan, but in fact, over 90% of the world's cultured pearls come from China, and many Akoya pearls are also produced along China's southern coast. China's cultivation technology is very mature, with pearls having thick nacre, delicate luster, and stable roundness and color quality. This product uses Chinese Akoya saltwater natural pearls, offering high quality and excellent value, presenting a naturally elegant rose-pink luster.
💡 What's the difference between saltwater pearls vs. freshwater pearls?
Saltwater pearls (like Akoya, South Sea, Black Pearls) are typically formed by a pearl layer enveloping a spherical bead core. Their characteristics include more perfect roundness, stronger luster, and distinct color layers, making them a higher value pearl type, often used in fine jewelry.
Freshwater pearls are mostly non-nucleated, formed by the natural secretion of the mother-of-pearl oyster. While they are more affordable and diverse, they usually fall slightly short in luster and roundness compared to saltwater pearls.
Choosing saltwater pearls, like the Akoya used in this product, signifies a higher requirement for luster and quality.
💡 Wearing and Care Recommendations
・ It is recommended to put on jewelry last and take it off first to avoid direct contact with perfume and skincare products.
・ Pearls are organic gemstones; please avoid contact with alcohol and acidic or alkaline liquids.
・ It is recommended to gently wipe with a clean, soft cloth after each wear to prevent sweat residue from affecting the luster.
・ Avoid dropping and heavy pressure. Periodically check the metal clasp to extend its lifespan.
If you need a certificate, please inquire via private message.

Unsure whether to buy freshwater or AKOYA pearls?
Here's a comparison:
Comparison of Akoya Cultured Pearls and Freshwater Cultured Pearls in Key Aspects:
I. Origin & Cultivation
Akoya pearls are saltwater cultured pearls, primarily from Japan, but also cultured in Vietnam and China. The Akoya oyster is the Pinctada fucata, which requires growth in marine environments with high salinity and complex currents. Typically, one oyster yields only one pearl. The Akoya cultivation cycle is relatively long, about 3-5 years. Akoya's annual output is low, accounting for about 10% of the global total pearl production (saltwater pearls combined). Akoya was the first saltwater cultured pearl to be commercially produced, starting in the early 1900s. Saltwater cultured pearls (including Akoya) are usually nucleated, with a spherical bead core inserted into the oyster.
Freshwater pearls are cultured in freshwater environments like lakes and rivers, mainly in the lakes and rivers of China's Yangtze River basin, such as Zhejiang, Hunan, and Jiangsu. The main oyster for freshwater pearls is the triangle shell mussel, and the growth environment has stable and controllable water quality. One mussel can yield 10-40 or 30-50 pearls. Most freshwater pearls form naturally inside the oyster without a bead core (mainly non-nucleated cultivation), which leads to more irregular shapes. The freshwater pearl cultivation cycle is relatively short, about 1-3 years. Freshwater pearls account for the vast majority of global pearl production, about 95%. Nucleated freshwater cultured pearls are also known as "Edison" pearls. Natural pearls and non-nucleated cultured pearls are almost entirely composed of nacre.
II. Appearance - Shape & Size
Shape:
Due to the insertion of a spherical bead core during cultivation and a relatively thin nacre layer that helps maintain its roundness, Akoya pearls typically achieve a very round shape with a high rate of perfect roundness. Over 90% of high-quality Akoya pearls are nearly perfectly round. The roundness of Akoya pearls accessible to consumers is usually good.
Freshwater cultured pearls (mainly non-nucleated) are formed naturally without a bead core, making their shapes more prone to being oval or irregular. Over 80% of freshwater pearls on the market are oval, flattened oval, or baroque shapes, with a lower proportion of perfectly round ones. Due to non-nucleated cultivation, perfectly round freshwater pearls are extremely rare, with near-round being the highest roundness grade. Nucleated freshwater cultured pearls (Edison pearls) are similar in size to saltwater pearls but have lower roundness.
Size:
Akoya pearls are smaller, with pearls generally ranging from 6-9mm. Commercial production is often in the 6-8mm or 5-8mm range. 8mm is considered a good size, with the largest Akoya pearls reaching 10-11mm. The larger the size of Akoya pearls, the more valuable they are. Even a difference of 1mm, such as between 7-8mm and 8-9mm Akoya pearls, can result in a significant price difference.
Freshwater cultured pearls typically range from 5-12mm in diameter. Nucleated freshwater pearls (Edison pearls) can reach sizes of 12-20mm. South Sea pearls are usually 10-16mm, with those exceeding 16mm being relatively rare and valuable.
III. Appearance - Color
Akoya pearls are primarily white in body color. Common overtones include pink, light greenish-blue, and light greenish-yellow, with pink being the most popular. Akoyas also come in blue tones (like True Tahitian) and yellow tones (like Aurora Queen, Aurora Gold). Saltwater pearls (including Akoya) do not have purple. Pearl colors originate from minerals or natural pigments secreted by the mother-of-pearl oyster.
Freshwater cultured pearls mainly come in white, pink, and light purple. Purple is a unique color for freshwater pearls, derived from carotenoids in the triangle shell mussel. Nucleated freshwater pearls (Edison pearls) can exhibit deep purple or bronze colors. Freshwater pearls do not come in pure black or deep gold. Some colors may be treated by bleaching or dyeing.
IV. Appearance - Luster
Pearl luster is one of the key factors determining quality, even its soul. Luster is related to the thickness and quality of the nacre. The stronger the luster, the more valuable the pearl, and the higher the price. Luster is the most important value factor for pearls.
Akoya pearls are known for their very high and beautiful luster, hailed as "little light bulbs of the human world." Their luster is strong, capable of producing sharp reflections and clear imaging. In high-quality comparisons, the mirror-like luster of Akoya can reach a higher level than South Sea pearls. High-quality specimens can reflect a human face.
Freshwater cultured pearls have a relatively softer luster, primarily exhibiting diffuse reflection, soft like silk. Some high-quality freshwater pearls can achieve good luster, reaching 70%-80% of saltwater pearls. Some high-grade freshwater pearls can achieve "very strong luster." The luster of freshwater pearls is shallower, with weaker refractive effects. Pearl luster is divided into four grades: Very good, Good, Fair, and Poor.
V. Appearance - Surface Quality
Naturally produced pearls usually have minor imperfections on their surface. The fewer imperfections a pearl has, the better its quality. Absolutely perfect pearls are extremely rare and expensive.
Akoya pearls have higher surface smoothness, with imperfections mostly being tiny pinpricks.
Freshwater pearls may show growth lines, such as spiral patterns and indentations, on their surface.
VI. Physical Characteristics - Nacre Thickness & Durability
Nacre thickness is an important factor in judging the quality of nucleated cultured pearls. Nacre thickness affects the beauty and durability of the pearl. If the nacre is too thin, it will affect the luster, and it may lose its luster or even peel if subjected to abrasion.
Akoya pearls have a relatively thin nacre layer compared to other types of saltwater cultured pearls, typically between 0.15 mm and 0.55 mm. 0.5 mm is considered a thick nacre for Akoya. According to GUILD standards, Akoya pearls with a nacre thickness greater than 0.4 mm are of better quality. Akoya is most sensitive to nacre thickness. The thinner nacre layer of Akoya helps maintain its round shape.
Freshwater cultured pearls (mainly non-nucleated) typically have a nacre thickness of 0.3 to 0.8 mm. The internal structure of non-nucleated freshwater pearls is almost entirely composed of nacre. Prolonged wear of freshwater pearls may cause them to gradually lose their luster due to friction, resulting in a relatively shorter lifespan. Nucleated freshwater pearls (Edison) have a thicker nacre layer, ranging from 0.8-3mm. Overall, saltwater pearls have thicker nacre and a longer lifespan. Saltwater pearls (such as South Sea pearls, Tahitian pearls) typically have a nacre thickness ranging from 0.8-3mm. South Sea pearls' nacre can reach 2mm, which is 60 to 100 times that of Akoya.
VII. Daily Wear & Suitability
Akoya pearls, with their high luster, roundness, and classic white color, are a very popular choice for everyday wear. They are suitable for versatile necklace styles that exude elegance, luxury, and classic charm. They are also suitable for formal occasions, weddings, and business gifts.
Freshwater cultured pearls, due to their affordability (thanks to China's large production volume and cultivation methods) and diverse colors (especially baroque shapes), are a popular choice for daily commutes and casual wear. High-quality freshwater pearls (very strong luster, near-round, minimal imperfections) are visually indistinguishable from saltwater pearls and offer excellent value for money, making them ideal for everyday wear. They are suitable for students, young professionals, or lovers of baroque pearls. If you have a limited budget and primarily wear jewelry daily, high-quality freshwater pearls are an excellent choice. From a pure usage perspective, there is very little difference in the wearing experience between high-quality freshwater pearls and saltwater pearls.
