Evaporation, melting, entropy transformation, reversible and irreversible, like the refining process of returning to the primal state of earth and sky in flowing lava. Distilling pottery making and experimentation into the smallest unit – a test piece, an essence, and the small stones encountered along the way. Ideal as a gift, for personal use, as a charm for incense purification, for diffusing essential oils, or as a token of affection. A blessing of roundness outside and squareness within. However, the type of clay, glaze formula, and firing method will affect the texture and pore size. The surface may inevitably absorb color or develop crazing, which is normal.
