The New Taipei City 10th Anniversary Cups: The Cultural Five

The New Taipei City became a special municipality since 2010. To celebrate its 10 years of promotion, the New Taipei City Yingge Ceramics Museum has collaborated with the Tai-hwa Kiln in creating the “New Taipei City 10th Anniversary: The Cultural Five” cups. The design of the coffee cup set employs the flower petal form from the city emblem as the handle to create a cup that has a good and steady grip. The asymmetrical saucer represents the New Taipei City administrative district; this not only creates a unique design, but also provides space for placing things. The stackable cup design are convenient for storage, which perfectly combines cultural meanings with functionality. The coffee cup has a white exterior with 5 assorted colors located inside the cup. 1.Abundant Fuzhong─Sliver: The color silver represents Fuzhong as one the important business district in New Taipei City. 2.Route 2 Taiwan─Blue: The Route 2 Taiwan is a tourism route that connects Tamsui, the North Coast and the Northeast Coast. The color blue represents the sea and the sky. 3.Pingling Tea Mountain─Green: The tea green color represent the historical and world-renowned pouchong tea from Pingling and Shiding district. 4.Yingge Ceramic Treasures─Red: The color red represents the 200 year old ceramic culture that has fired up in Yingge. 5.Gold Mountain City─Yellow: The color yellow represents the the unique and rich mountain landscape and mining culture of Shuijinjiou.
