Boreng from the Guhua tribe in Chunri Township, Pingtung, when he was a teenager, he resolutely set foot on an ocean fishing boat and wandered for 12 years. Experienced many adventure stories (purchased and sequel). The experience of running a boat has accumulated a lot of creative nutrients for him, such as the most good at sculpting facial makeup, which is a partner from the past running life (you are the King of Sailing?).
After leaving fishing boat life and working in a restaurant, Bereng groped for carving from fruit carvings. He said, "But the fruit is gone after eating it!" So he began to want to keep his creation in the form of wood carving. As a result, Cong Bo Leng's unique carving form, with three-dimensional knife marks stacked on the wood, shows the vivid vitality of the Paiwan pattern.
In 1996, he won the first prize of the Aboriginal Woodcarving Award in the National Art Season for "The Hairpin of Life", which further strengthened Bereng's path towards woodcarving creation. Born, who resides in many villages and has won numerous awards, is currently returning to his familiar hometown Fangliao with his Filipino wife to settle and continue to create.
