Unlike flawless PU or patent leather, vegetable-tanned leather is natural and eco-friendly, retaining unique markings and imprints from the cow's life, such as scars, insect marks, growth lines, and veins. These are not considered defects. Minor indentations or scratches from processing, shipping, or crafting are also considered normal within reasonable limits, provided the leather surface is not damaged. Out of respect for life and natural materials, we do not (and cannot) completely avoid these natural characteristics, except for major imperfections.
