Burmese Pagoda Relic - 18th-19th Century Pewter Alloy Buddha in Earth-Touching Mudra

A Buddha statue recovered from a collapsed pagoda in the Mandalay region of Myanmar. Depicting the Buddha in the Earth-Touching Mudra, symbolizing his victory over temptation. Estimated to date from the 18th to 19th century. Crafted from a pewter alloy (a blend of tin, silver, lead, copper, iron, and other metals). Stands approximately 7.48 cm tall. There is a minor casting flaw on the surface. The interior contains black casting residue, which has since been cleaned. These small-sized Buddha statues, though unassuming, hold significant historical age. Placed in a vehicle, it can serve as a protective amulet against malevolent forces.
