Solder naturally oxidizes upon contact with air, with copper finishes showing the most significant changes—from bright copper to aged bronze, and eventually to a deep brown. Therefore, the item will *absolutely not* look exactly like the photos. We cannot control how the patina develops. If you are concerned about the oxidation of copper, we recommend requesting a black finish instead, which has the least noticeable change. Recycled vintage glass, often decades old, may exhibit normal signs of age such as minor scratches, color spots, or air bubbles. Small chips or nicks along the edges, particularly on clear glass and mirrors, can also occur during the grinding process and are considered normal. ▴ The unique patterns and colors of each piece of glass mean that no two items will be exactly alike. Please communicate fully with the designer before ordering to ensure you understand and are comfortable with these characteristics. ▴ Both dyed and undyed solder will naturally develop a patina, becoming duller or darker upon prolonged exposure to air. Copper finishes are particularly susceptible to this change. ▴ This item is not intended for food. Even 99% pure solder is not food-grade tin. ▴ Some open-topped containers can hold water, but this will accelerate solder oxidation and may lead to the formation of white crystals. ▴ To promote environmental sustainability, all items are shipped with minimal packaging. ▴ For your own protection, please record a video of yourself unboxing the item. All shipping fees are the responsibility of the buyer. Care Instructions: ▴ Over time, solder will develop an oxidized layer upon contact with air. This can be gently removed with a toothpick. For daily care, a light wipe with a dry cotton cloth is sufficient. ▴ For advanced care, you may apply a thin layer of furniture wax (soft wax) to the surface. Once dry, buff with a dry cotton cloth until shiny.
