The bold, assertive spirit of these Taiwanese Hokkien phrases resonated strongly. Subsequently, we invited the renowned calligrapher Chen Shih-hsien to create powerful new calligraphy pieces for this series, showcasing the local spirit of "Nn̄g-pa" and "Nn̄g-chó͘-má." 【The Story of Supporting Taiwanese Hokkien】 The "Chhong-chó͘" team loves listening to Taiwanese Hokkien songs, watching Taiwanese Hokkien films, and studying Taiwanese Hokkien humor. This is not only because it is our language, but also because it represents the irreplaceable character of Taiwanese people. Beginning in 2012, we started combining Taiwanese Hokkien phrases with playful illustrations, making them relevant for every emotion, from joy to sorrow. This includes collaborations with renowned calligrapher Mr. Chen Shih-hsien, as well as designing a series of American-style pieces to further expand the imaginative possibilities for the Taiwanese Hokkien language.
