Just slightly north of the Tropic of Cancer, in Dalin Township, Chiayi County, abundant sunshine and suitable climate give birth to excellent quality gardenias. The Japanese returned to the area after World War II in pursuit of this flower. Their adherence to environmentally friendly hand weeding and non-toxic farming practices also gives us the opportunity to recreate the classic incense scent that was famous during the Japanese colonial period.

Gardenia is also known as yellow branch flower and branch flower. Shansheng was fortunate to carefully select yellow gardenias from Shanglin Community in Chiayi, which have white petals, sweet taste, and pure and pleasant aroma. In order to combine the characteristics of both Taiwanese tea and flowers, we adopt the ancient scented tea production process, using fragrant oolong as the base, and fumigating it with the fragrance of gardenia. We scent it layer by layer day and night. When the tea aroma is full, we manually select and sift the petals to reduce bitterness and other flavors. The solid process makes the "Gardenia Oolong" elegant in texture and pure in flavor with a fresh and fragrant fragrance.
☞ Recommended brewing
① Hot Brewing Method: Soak the tea bag in 300ml boiling water for 6 minutes and enjoy.
② Cold brewing method: Soak the tea bag in 450ml of cold boiled water at room temperature and refrigerate for about 8 hours before enjoying.
③ Adjust the soaking time according to your preference. Please do not soak the tea leaves for too long, as it is better to savor their aroma and sweet aftertaste.
