19th Century Japanese Esoteric Buddhist Ritual Implement - Five-Prong Vajra (9.9 cm length)

Acquired from an overseas collector. The collector stated it was from the Edo period (1603-1867 AD, early 17th-19th century). This roughly corresponds to the late Ming to mid-Qing dynasties in China. A five-prong vajra from the Edo period would be approximately 150-420 years old. Having handled artifacts for many years, I've conservatively estimated its age to be from the 19th century. A religious artifact of a century's age is perhaps more fitting. Total length is 9.9 centimeters. A small size, comfortable to hold in the palm. Made of brass alloy. Hand-carved and finished. A ritual implement with genuine age from actual practice. It comes with a detachable cord featuring a 6-eyed ancient bead with a West Asian wave-and-star pattern, and two Burmese prayer beads from the 18th-19th century. A fellow practitioner from Southern Taiwan, involved in antiques, once said: "The spiritual power of Japanese practitioners surpasses that of Tibetans. Do not underestimate Japanese ritual implements..." On December 7, 2024, a Taoist brother, who has been engaged in long-term spiritual practice and meditation, visited.
