This designer original "Candy Bag" is delightfully sweet, luxurious, and incredibly lightweight. Its fabric is the world-class intangible cultural heritage, Song brocade. Originating in the Spring and Autumn period, flourishing in the Song Dynasty, and popularized through the Ming and Qing dynasties, Song brocade was recognized as a world-class intangible cultural heritage in 2009. It represents the pinnacle of silk weaving craftsmanship. Among the exceptional techniques within Song brocade weaving are: two warp threads and three weft threads, with one warp thread of raw silk and one of boiled silk; Kesi embroidery, particularly double-sided Kesi; jacquard weaving; iridescent techniques; and gold-thread weaving, among others. Furthermore, Song brocade craftsmanship exclusively uses top-tier pure silk, specifically 6A grade long silk renowned for its superior luster. This is precisely why the "Candy Bag" possesses such a magnificent sheen and why its patterns feature the distinct dimensionality of Kesi embroidery – the finest silk, the most advanced Kesi techniques, and the highest caliber of Song brocade silk.
