Among 30 hamsters, only the cheerful Mochi in the center makes eye contact with us. The message within is: "No matter what happens, my inherently positive self remains at the core," and "I can always return to that place." Just like "Mochi" in the painting, may our hearts and bodies, in their many forms, through their many moments, in their many states, always allow us to believe in ourselves. These sentiments are entrusted to "Mochi," the Golden Hamster, and the Veronica flowers. The title is, "Don'na Kimi mo" (Any You). The words that follow can be interpreted in various ways, depending on the person or situation. The genus name of the Veronica flower is "Veronica," which is said to originate from the name of the legendary saint Veronica, who offered a cloth to wipe Jesus Christ's face on his way to the crucifixion, according to biblical tradition. The flower's meanings, "Faithfulness," "Trust," and "Purity," are also said to be linked to the story of Saint Veronica. This resonates deeply with the theme of the artwork, particularly the idea of "never abandoning trust, regardless of any circumstance."
