Buttero leather is a vegetable-tanned oil leather produced by Walpier, a small tannery in Tuscany, Italy. It is made from the shoulder section of steer hide, a rare and high-end material as only a limited area can be obtained from each cow. Crafted using traditional Tuscan vegetable tanning techniques, Buttero leather is dyed with natural extracts from flowers, tree bark, and other organic sources, giving it a natural warmth and authenticity. One of the most outstanding qualities of Buttero leather is its beautiful aging process. Thanks to its dense fiber structure, it is gradually infused with plant-based oils, which slowly rise to the surface over time. With continued use, this process results in a rich, dynamic transformation in both color and luster, making it distinctly unique from other leathers. For this model, we have chosen beige, a color that best showcases the aging process. Japanese Barolo Leather For the interior, we have used Barolo leather, one of Japan’s finest vegetable-tanned leathers.
