Mizuhiki (水引) is a Japanese traditional cord made from washi paper.

As the cord gets stronger as you pull, it has a meaning of bonding with the important people around you.
This motif is a design of Camellia flower, which is a very important flower for Japanese culture.
Traditionally it has been said that Camellia flower represents the end of the long winter, it has a meaning of modest and elegant beauty, and also supreme affection.
