Established in 2015, Friendly Cotton is a brand dedicated to undyed, pure cotton apparel. Our journey began with a deep respect for Mother Earth, aiming to showcase the natural hues of cotton after spinning. While the original creamy beige is soothing, we also embrace the beauty of a vibrant world. Staying true to our roots, we sought a way to dye fabrics while cherishing the environment. In 2020, we discovered Japanese mineral dyeing, an incredibly eco-friendly method that produces a diverse range of colors with excellent washfastness. This inspired us to experiment with adding color to our undyed cotton garments. Venturing beyond our familiar shores, we found ourselves in a vast and creative land, a melting pot of cultures. Through discussions on environmental issues, we connected with people from diverse backgrounds and realized how wonderful Taiwan is, with its forward-thinking approach to environmentalism. Thailand, too, was making strides in "textile environmentalism," encouraging the development of unbleached and undyed clothing, as the dyeing industry is the world's second-largest polluter. Just as people are encouraged to eat food in its natural form for health, have you ever considered the "natural form" of cotton clothing?
