Motoda Lacquerware Round Tray No. 10

There are times when you want to enjoy a little tea alone, or when you want to carry pots and cups together for hospitality when you come. How about this round tray in such a case? Although it is a lightweight and simple lacquer ware, the Shunkei lacquer that makes the beautiful wood grain stand out brightly colors the surrounding space. This is a gem of "Motoda Lacquerware" that inherits the techniques of Hida's traditional crafts to the present day. It is a highly practical traditional craft that was born in Hida, which is said to be the production center of Japan's three major spring lacquerware.
