|░ Reasons to Love Jadeite ░|
"Jade nourishes the person for a lifetime, after the person has nurtured jade for three years."
Crystals possess powerful energy fields but require regular cleansing. Jadeite is a natural hard jade, known for its gentle and soft properties. While its energy field may not be as strong as crystals, jadeite's inherent energy is pure and clean, offering only beneficial influences and dispelling negative energy.
Currently, over 40 minerals have been discovered in jadeite. Its chemical composition is sodium aluminum silicate (NaAI[Si2O6]), often containing trace elements such as calcium (Ca), chromium (Cr), nickel (Ni), manganese (Mn), magnesium (Mg), and iron (Fe).
White: Essentially free of impurities.
Red: Contains trivalent iron.
Black: Contains over 2% chromium.
Green: Contains over 2% chromium and bivalent iron.
Yellow: Contains iron.
Purple: Contains manganese.
Blue: Similar to green, but rarer.
Trace element "Calcium" (Ca) is the most abundant mineral in the human body, primarily found in bones and teeth. It is also present in blood and muscles. Calcium is a vital regulator of bodily functions throughout life, from youth to adulthood and old age, playing crucial physiological roles. It is an indispensable macronutrient essential for human health and longevity.
Trace element "Chromium" (Cr) is significantly important for maintaining normal physiological functions, preventing cardiovascular diseases, and aiding in blood sugar regulation. The human body cannot synthesize it and must obtain it through natural foods or supplements. For individuals with Type 2 diabetes, it can enhance insulin sensitivity. It is beneficial for overweight individuals in managing cholesterol and blood sugar levels. Those experiencing high stress levels tend to lose chromium faster than others, making these three groups particularly in need of it.
Trace element "Nickel" (Ni) is an essential trace element for the human body. Adults typically have 6-10 mg of nickel, mainly concentrated in the brain and liver. Nickel is absorbed in the intestines, with unabsorbed portions primarily excreted in feces. Only 10-20% of nickel from food is absorbed by the body.
Trace element "Manganese" (Mn) is another type of trace element that protects the body. Jadeite also contains this element. Long-term wear of jadeite can promote blood circulation, accelerate metabolism, alleviate aging, and prevent certain age-related illnesses.
Trace element "Magnesium" (Mg) is also a macronutrient essential for the human body. Like calcium, magnesium is vital for normal bone growth. Sufficient magnesium effectively regulates calcium and maintains normal neuromuscular function, complementing calcium's role. Magnesium can inhibit platelet aggregation, so deficiency may increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Furthermore, magnesium deficiency can lead to chronic inflammation and is associated with the onset of many chronic diseases, particularly increasing the mortality rate from cardiovascular diseases. Studies have shown that individuals who drink hard water, which has relatively higher calcium and magnesium content, have a lower mortality rate from cardiovascular diseases. Therefore, maintaining normal blood magnesium levels reduces the risk of atherosclerosis.
Trace element "Iron" (Fe) assists enzymes in biochemical reactions and metabolism, making it an essential trace element. Adult bodies typically contain 3-5 grams of iron, with 60-70% distributed in red blood cells. Other cells also rely on iron for their smooth operation.
Medical research reveals that jadeite possesses potent therapeutic capabilities. Long-term wear can not only prevent illnesses but also alleviate or even treat certain conditions.
Treating Chest Tightness: Some individuals with weaker constitutions may experience chest tightness. Wearing a jadeite pendant can help alleviate this common ailment. The jadeite pendant emits energy that stimulates the "Long Han" and "Shen Fu" acupoints on the chest, and through continuous gentle massage, it can achieve a root-cause resolution.
Traditional Chinese Medicine Theory: In TCM, jadeite is believed to possess the efficacy of "clearing internal heat, moistening the heart and lungs, nourishing hair, nourishing the five organs, calming the spirit, promoting blood circulation, and enhancing vision and hearing."
Regularly wearing jadeite jewelry allows trace elements to be absorbed by the skin, aiding in the coordinated balance of physiological functions in the body's organs.
Nourishing the Skin: Jadeite accessories, whether necklaces, earrings, or bracelets, can come into direct contact with the skin. The mineral elements within the jadeite enter the body, nourishing the skin and making women appear fairer and more radiant.
Cooling Down: Jadeite's inherent coolness provides a therapeutic and cooling sensation. In the Tang Dynasty, Consort Yang Guifei was known to hold jade in her mouth during the summer to relieve heat. Since then, summer has been associated with coolness. Jade pillows, bracelets, beds, and pendants have been used for their cooling properties.
The above are evidence-based reasons for the benefits of jadeite. Another, less tangible reason, is its comforting effect. When feeling down or stressed, gazing at jadeite can provide an inexplicable sense of emotional healing, offering a feeling of solace.
