This process results in a fabric that is "light," "soft," and develops a relaxed, natural texture that you can enjoy as "aging" rather than "deterioration." Woven on shuttle looms over 100 years old in Kurashiki, the fabric may occasionally exhibit "weaving flaws," which can appear as small "frays." These are unavoidable characteristics of using vintage machinery. While we maintain rigorous quality control at the factory and take care to avoid these flaws during fabric cutting, and use them in less visible areas if found, they cannot be entirely eliminated due to the nature of the machines.
