The Story Behind Selling Zisha Teapots:
Zisha teapots boast a long-standing heritage, cherished by scholars and connoisseurs since ancient times. Their unique crafting process, distinct from other ceramics, imbues each teapot with a singular character.
Furthermore, the unglazed nature of Zisha teapots transforms their cultivation into an engaging ritual. This interactive quality, where the teapot becomes more beautiful with use, is arguably the greatest reason for its enduring appeal.
Recently, influenced by various factors, a trend of tea appreciation has emerged among young people in Taiwan. Owning a Zisha teapot of excellent clay and craftsmanship has become a desire for many consumers.
However, the opaque product information and even counterfeit goods prevalent in the Zisha teapot market have long been a primary reason for consumers' hesitation.
Our studio, now nearly two years old, frequently engages with regular customers. They, too, have expressed confusion over the chaotic Zisha market and hope that our expertise in ceramics can help them select high-quality, practical Zisha teapots.
We are grateful for the long-standing support and trust. Yet, as the saying goes, "different trades require different skills." While Zisha teapots are ceramics, they are not our primary specialization. Thus, we have historically refrained from directly addressing such inquiries, though it has prompted us to delve into the knowledge surrounding Zisha teapots.
Fortunately, through various channels, we connected with a friend who trades Zisha teapots locally in Yixing. After half a year of communication and learning, we finally reached a shared understanding of our principles. Before collaborating, we purchased several teapots ourselves for personal use and confirmed that they met our standards for craftsmanship and materials. Only when they align with our criteria do we recommend them to our customers.
Our Zisha teapots are sold based on four principles:
1. Crafted using traditional Zisha teapot techniques.
2. Using raw materials free from chemical additives.
3. Accurately representing the clay type.
4. Truthfully stating the artisan's title.
Each Zisha teapot is accompanied by a 200x magnified photograph of the clay, allowing customers to clearly see the true appearance and texture of the Zisha. Only by rigorously examining our products in this manner do we feel confident in offering them to you. If you require the original high-resolution microscopic images, please feel free to message us after your purchase!
→ Purchase Notes
* Most products in this design hall are purely handmade, and the glaze or ash glaze on each piece will vary, which is part of the charm of ceramic art. Therefore, once a piece is sold out, it will not be restocked, and you will not find an identical piece. If a piece you like is purchased by someone else, unfortunately, you will have to choose another piece from the design hall. We apologize for any inconvenience! You may also contact the designer to see if a more similar piece is available.
* Capacity is measured by hand and may have slight variations.
* Works may exhibit some marks from the crafting process, as they are handmade or semi-handmade. These operational traces are to be expected.
* During the firing process, ash glaze may distribute naturally. This is entirely normal and emphasizes what Nature Glaze champions: the inherent naturalness of ceramics. If you have any questions about the product, please message us.
* Product images are taken in a studio with adjusted lighting and environment, but no post-production editing is used. Please refer to the actual product for color accuracy, as variations will not be considered defects.
