The document is watermarked with the imperial eagle royal stamp, used in civil or parish registers during the Napoleonic period of the First Empire, 1804-1814. As an original legal handwritten document shortly after the promulgation of the Napoleonic Code, it details the records of different cases, including marriage contracts, property distribution, mortgage rights and property rights, case rulings and subsequent processing, and the evaluation and valuation procedures for the public auction of the defendant's property.
