Iolite and Fire Agate Pendant. Wire is antiqued pure copper. Overall dimensions (L x W) are 53x27mm. The antiqued copper hue has always been among my top choices for wire to pair with Iolite. While a previous series of Iolite pendants featuring small, bezel-set stones and artistic copper wire in a vintage finish also achieved a harmonious look, my personal fondness for this gemstone makes me feel that precious metals like gold, silver, and rose gold are suitable as well. However, the depth and texture of antiqued, polished copper, along with its inherent nuances, always seem to resonate particularly well with the natural patterns and atmosphere of the stone. For embellishment, I've allowed fine wire weaving and curved lines to intertwine, creating a contrast in textures. The bail incorporates a small Mexican fire agate, whose natural base color almost merges with the wire's hue, yet flashes with brilliance when turned. These subtle variations aim to showcase the natural character of the gemstone to its fullest. ❖ Product photos are mostly taken in natural daylight. Dimensions are Length x Width (x Thickness). ❖ Necklaces are not included by default with metalwork and silver jewelry. In addition to commercially available silver chains, we also recommend stainless steel chains for pieces treated with a sulfurized (antiqued) finish, as the color tones are more compatible. ❖ During the metal wire weaving process, slight marks from gripping or cutting may occur due to the force of handling. These generally do not affect the wearing appearance. ❖ "Artistic copper wire" refers to craft wire consisting of a copper core, plating, and a protective layer. "Red copper wire" and "brass wire" refer to bare copper wire (without plating). Sterling silver will be specified as 925 or 999 silver. ❖ Natural stones may inherently have characteristics such as inclusions, patterns, or minor chips. Small imperfections in drilling or polishing may also be present. ❖ Shipments are sent with simple packaging, including clean protective cushioning and a mailing bag. A sealed bag for storage will also be included. 【Artistic Copper Wire Woven Jewelry】 ❖ Artistic copper wire is craft wire composed of a copper core, plating, and a protective layer. With normal use and care, the color can remain largely unchanged for several years. ❖ As the surface has plating and a protective layer, please do not use silver polishing cloths or toothpaste for cleaning, as this will quickly wear away the plating. ❖ After wearing, please wipe off any moisture (especially sweat) with a soft cloth and store in the provided sealed bag. ❖ Please avoid wearing during activities that cause heavy sweating, such as exercise, and when visiting hot springs. This can accelerate wire wear and potentially damage the natural stones. 【Unplated Copper Wire / Silver Wire Woven Jewelry / Fine Silver Metalwork Jewelry】 ❖ Red copper wire, brass wire, and silver wire are all unplated. Natural oxidation is a normal phenomenon, causing them to gradually turn into a bronze or antique silver color. The color changes and the speed of oxidation will vary depending on wear and individual body chemistry, which is part of the unique character of bare copper wire jewelry. In terms of oxidation speed, red copper wire tends to oxidize faster (potentially turning antique red within days to weeks), while brass and silver oxidize more slowly. ❖ Wire treated with a sulfurization (antiquing) process has a more stable color tone compared to untreated wire. However, polished areas will also gradually oxidize naturally. ❖ If you wish to clean oxidized areas, you can generally use a silver polishing cloth or gently brush with toothpaste, then dry thoroughly or use a hair dryer on a cool setting. ❖ After wearing, wipe off any moisture with a soft cloth and store in the provided sealed bag. ❖ Please avoid wearing during activities that cause heavy sweating, such as exercise, and when visiting hot springs. This can accelerate wire oxidation and potentially damage the natural stones. ❖ Pieces made with unplated wire can be sent back for re-polishing at a later date (only the round-trip shipping fee will be charged). 【Natural Stones】 ❖ Natural gemstones may inherently have inclusions, patterns, chips, or black spots. Small imperfections in drilling or polishing may also be present from the crafting process. ❖ The natural stones used in our pieces are mostly semi-precious. Some stone types may have lower hardness (this will be specifically noted). Please try to avoid contact with items like silver polishing cloths or toothpaste, which have abrasive polishing properties, when caring for the metal parts of the jewelry. ❖ Please avoid wearing during activities that cause heavy sweating, such as exercise, and when visiting hot springs, as this may damage the natural stones.
