Yamdrok Lake is situated south of Lhasa in Tibet. In Tibetan, Yamdrok Yumtso translates to "Upper Pasture Jade Lake," and it is revered as one of the three sacred lakes of Tibet. The lake's outline is strikingly intricate, resembling a coral reef, and it teems with diverse life. It is also a lake that freezes in winter. To the west of the lake stands Ganden Monastery, peacefully perched on a mountaintop overlooking the water. It has witnessed centuries unfold, serving as a sanctuary for countless monks in their spiritual practice. They are the guardians of the lake's legends and faith, or perhaps, the lake itself has safeguarded the people of this land. In winter, people seek refuge in the warmer valleys or to the south, while snow blankets everything. Notes: Dimensions are measured by hand and may have an error of 0.5cm, but I strive for maximum accuracy.
