The yakitori parts were made from polymer clay. The yakitoris used for these earrings are called "negima". "Negi" means "Japanese leek", and "ma" means "between". You can see Japanese leeks are placed "between" the chicken. Negima comes in two flavors: salt and sauce. I prefer the salt flavor. (Sorry to those who like sauce.) The "Oshina-gaki"-like backing can be displayed as cute interior decor. Also perfect for Omiyage (“souvenirs” in Japanese)! *Oshina-gaki "menu" in Japanese.
