When thinking of monogram patterns, LV is undoubtedly the most well-known, but CELINE's monogram actually predates LV's! CELINE's monogram dates back to the 1870s, and after a long period of discontinuation, it was revived by the new creative director in recent years. However, who came first in the fashion world isn't really that important. Look at how LV, despite debuting later, has dominated the monogram world for so many years and remains strong. Although CELINE's monogram is a senior, it has only recently gained widespread recognition with its revived monogram designs in recent years... In short, every brand has its own monogram pattern, just like their own logo. It all depends on which monogram you prefer. Before its revival, Celine's monogram was a breath of fresh air in the pre-owned market, with classic patterns, a wide variety of bag styles, and affordable prices, but alas, that is all in the past. Since the new collection's revival, the prices of almost all monogram bags have been steadily increasing, with some bag shapes that closely resemble the new designs seeing prices skyrocket. Many people who have never bought pre-owned items before have also entered the vintage world because of the monogram! Because when you compare, you'll see what "new is not as good as old" means. Celine's monogram, I feel, perfectly embodies the saying "new is not as good as old." Just the exquisite detail of the pattern alone shows a significant difference. The monogram pattern on the new revived versions has been enlarged, but the edges are noticeably blurred (is this intentional design!?). Even with a magnifying glass, you won't find any obvious blurry edges on the old monogram. Of course, this is also because of the different eras and design needs. In recent years, the pattern designs of various brands have tended to be enlarged and emphasized. It's either a big LOGO or a big brand name. Celine is now a brand under the LV group, so the new models we see have a very unified and group-like feel. It is a "urban legend" that everyone who buys pre-owned bags must have a Celine in their collection because its vintage styles are so numerous and unlikely to be duplicated. (Personally, I feel that new models simply cannot compare to vintage ones because the craftsmanship and quality of materials are vastly different in new models. Complaints about the poor quality of new models from major brands can easily be found online...) The owner is actually a person who prefers solid colors. All the bags I keep for myself are solid colors without patterns, including my clothes. I don't even have stripes or geometric patterns, only solid colors. So I've always wanted to find a patterned bag for myself to add a touch of flair to my otherwise consistently monochrome outfits. Unfortunately, no patterned bag before had made me think, "I must keep one." Until I saw this Celine monogram mini Boston in person! I was originally ordering it for a customer, and I was indifferent when ordering. But when I received the actual item, I found it incredibly cute and practical! So cute that I immediately had to find another one to keep for myself (why didn't I notice it before!?). Boston bags come in many sizes, and the cutest are definitely the mini 18cm and nano 14cm! This listing is for the 18CM mini size. Celine has already revived a new monogram version of the Boston bag (which features an enlarged Arc de Triomphe pattern), so this vintage predecessor model has been steadily increasing in price, and the mini size is the fastest and most significant riser, with an increase comparable to a rocket launch like the horse carriage buckle. Seeing it in person, you'll understand that the 18cm mini size is both cute and practical! Its capacity is enough for basic essentials and more. This surprised me a bit; it looks small and cute like a "little useless bag," but it's surprisingly not useless at all, which is one of the reasons I fell in love with it instantly! It can hold a phone (even a large one), a medium-short wallet, keys, a cardholder, wet and dry tissues, and hand sanitizer, with room to spare without being stuffed. It's truly a small but not useless, practical representative. The Boston bag shape is definitely the most spacious among small bag sizes (I've also taken extra photos showing the actual capacity with items inside). Have you noticed a small detail (which you'll probably only understand the benefit of during actual use)? The zipper on the Celine Boston bag's opening can be pulled all the way to both sides of the bag in a "冖" shape, making it very convenient to take things out. Many Boston bags from other brands don't have zippers that extend to both sides; they only open at the top in a "一" shape. For medium or large sizes, this detail doesn't make much difference because even if the zipper doesn't reach both sides, the opening is still large. However, for mini sizes, this small detail is very important. When the zipper can be pulled to both sides, the opening widens, making it easier to take things out. Otherwise, without the sides opening, only the top "一" shape opening would be very small. This detail on the Celine bag is truly excellent! Another thing I love about it is that the monogram surface has a coating, giving it a slight water-repellent property and good stain resistance! Basic light rain (heavy rain is another matter... stay indoors during heavy rain and don't take your bag out) or accidental splashes of water can be wiped off immediately with a cloth! After returning home, let it air dry in a ventilated area for a few days. And you don't have to worry about being too rough with the monogram leather (but don't be excessively violent either!). For everyday use or for girls who are a bit rough, a monogram bag is a good choice because it's truly convenient. The color and monogram pattern can be matched in all seasons! In winter, pair it with a long sweater/long coat to create a cute visual size difference. In spring and summer, pair it with a tank top and jeans/dress for a casual and convenient look! The original shoulder strap has deteriorated and is no longer usable. I have specially replaced it with a new shoulder strap that perfectly matches the color of the bag's edges, and it is also adjustable in length. It can be used as a shoulder bag or crossbody bag without any problems (holes can be added if needed), but I think the most stylish way to carry it is by hand. Its small size is incredibly cute and lightweight, so you can carry it all day without any burden. It's perfect for shopping, dining, and taking those trendy influencer-style photos – small and eye-catching! The mini Boston has become a favorite, so much so that I've kept more than one! When you don't know which bag to use, just grab it! It goes with everything! Especially in autumn and winter, when clothes are thicker, such as chunky sweaters, wool coats, long coats, etc., carrying a large bag can make you look visually bulky (the shop owner is petite... carrying a large bag in autumn/winter makes me look fat and bloated). When your clothes are thick, switching to a lighter bag creates a visual size difference, making you look less bulky! . . . ⚐⚑˒˒ The bag is in excellent condition, appearing brand new! Extremely clean! And it's an extremely rare black flower pattern, very uncommon! The monogram coating on the bag's surface is clean and intact, with no whitening/discoloration/aging. The Arc de Triomphe pattern has no scratches/scuffs. The leather trim at the four corners and edges are black, with only very minor signs of use, only visible upon close inspection. The edges and corners show no wear or peeling, and even the tips of the corners are in good condition. The leather has a natural sheen and is lustrous. The entire bag's leather is intact with no gaps. The stitching on the handle is firm, with no stains or scratches, and the edge paint on the handle is complete. The hardware clasps connecting the bag body and handle are golden overall, with only very minor signs of use but no obvious oxidation/gold loss/scratches. The zipper pull, plated with real 24K gold, is a small triangle with CELINE engraving, very golden with no oxidation/discoloration/gold loss. Beautiful little detail! The interior is clean with no aging/stickiness. The brand leather tag is intact, and the zipper opens to both sides of the bag, making it convenient to put things in and take them out. It did not come with a shoulder strap when I acquired it, so I have specially added a matching black shoulder strap that is also adjustable in length (the original was not adjustable). Overall, the bag is extremely well-preserved, in excellent condition with only minor signs of use on the edges, and looks extremely new! Comes with the original dust bag! The mini Boston is becoming increasingly difficult to obtain due to the popularity of the retro trend and the release of new versions, let alone the black flower pattern! The beauty of the black flower has always been underestimated; in person, the black flower has a subtle yet eye-catching luster... it's super rare, and once sold, it will be impossible to find again! ❍The photos were taken by the owner in natural light. In the past, most pre-owned items were handmade, with the warmth of handcraftsmanship rather than mass production by machines. The craftsmanship of artisans is definitely much more delicate than machines, just as everyone likes products made by hand by artisans! However, nowadays, most processes are done by machines with minimal human assembly, losing the delicacy of the past. I think the simplest and most direct way to see this is to compare the new monogram versions recently revived by various brands with the authentic old-era monograms. The level of detail in the monogram pattern alone is completely different. If you love monograms, you should look for pre-owned items! Really! In terms of style, older eras were more simple, classic, and timeless. Nowadays, many new designs are revived from old ones. However, new models are priced higher than old ones. New designs are usually based on old models with added details or design changes, and the final product always ends up being more complex (or strange...) than the old ones. I believe that as you grow older, you will understand one thing: the simpler, the more enduring! As you get older, you will even return to basic clothing styles because the more basic, the more versatile. The quality of materials in old models is also better than in new ones. As long as you understand leather, you can tell that the materials in new models are mostly inferior to old ones. The main reason is that the cost of high-quality raw materials is too high now, and the quantity is not as much as before. Earth's resources are dwindling! Moreover, back then, brands didn't have as many "ubiquitous" branches everywhere as they do now... Most customers had a certain income and certain expectations for the finished products. There was no "fast fashion culture" back then; a bag was expected to be used by the customer for many years. The difference between new and old eras is clearly visible in the hardware. Many new hardware parts oxidize and change color after one or two years of use, but old models usually don't. Besides the high-quality materials and meticulous techniques, the hardware parts from earlier eras were plated with real 24K gold! It is worth mentioning that Chanel Vintage is expensive for a reason; many of its clasps and chains contain real gold, certified by gold merchants! Therefore, even vintage bags from the 60s and 70s, if properly preserved, can still shine today. As for the new models available now, as far as I know, none of the brands use K gold in their hardware anymore, so they generally oxidize easily. Many people say that buying vintage bags is a form of alternative investment because they rarely depreciate and only increase in value. This is because good-condition pre-owned bags are becoming increasingly rare in the market; for every one that disappears, there are fewer. Remember, each of them is a discontinued item. The number of existing ones in the world is fixed, so they will only become fewer, more expensive, and harder to find. Moreover, many brands increase their prices periodically, and each increase drives up the prices in the pre-owned market. Or, if a brand releases a "revival model," the prices of vintage reference models or similar styles will skyrocket! Add to that the fact that Japanese and Korean celebrities have been favoring vintage items in recent years. Once a certain model is used by a celebrity, its price immediately skyrockets, truly skyrockets, because during that period, many people will frantically search for that model or a similar alternative, and the prices of those few models will increase exponentially... So, vintage is truly "buy early, enjoy early; buy late, pay more" (this is not an advertising slogan... it's the truth in the pre-owned world...). This is my personal experience; I regret not entering the market earlier for many series. I can't find them anymore, and even if I do, they come at a sky-high price... But the problem is, even if you know it's a sky-high price, you have no choice but to buy it, because waiting for the next one will only be more expensive (unless the condition is poor). I am often asked about bag maintenance (ᐢ.ˬ.ᐢ). I will attach a small note with details inside the bag, so don't worry. My personal habit is to take them out for maintenance when I organize my closet during seasonal changes (so it's a big project every season...|||). Pre-owned bags are not that troublesome. When you first start, you just need to get used to regular maintenance and cherishing the bag. Once you get used to it, it's not difficult. The materials of pre-owned bags are originally excellent. As long as you don't use them roughly and preserve them properly, they can last for another ten years and be passed down to your daughter! Every pre-owned bag is something I collect because I like it, so I hope you will like it too and be able to preserve it well ☪︎ *.。 ☾︎.*·̩͙ If you are interested in purchasing, please feel free to message me for details.
