Your goal is tragic yet simple: before your characters embrace the greatest grace of life, "death," subject them to as much misfortune as possible, while ensuring your opponents' characters live happy and healthy lives. Throughout this process, you will have complete control over all unfortunate events, leading to your characters' miserable demise. You play Adjustment cards from your hand onto Character cards, narrating the tragic events you inflict upon your family members to lower their self-worth (points); conversely, try to inspire opponents' characters with happy events to accumulate their positive energy. When one of your family members finally meets their death, set aside that character and all cards associated with them until the end of the game. The game ends immediately when all members of a family have died. Players then sum the visible self-worth of their deceased family members.
